I've added more bags in batik!

This fabric is handmade by one of my favorite Etsy sellers, Margot Bianca. She applies wax in a particular design to the fabric, dyes it with rich colors, and then boils out the wax to create these wonderful and very functional batiks!

New Boots!!!

Note: This has nothing to do with my bag business, my graphic design business, or anything meaningful aside from my obsession with shoes (boots in particular).

My new boots arrived! I got them from Victoria's Secret because I got this "Take an additional 40% off any one CLEARANCE item" coupon, so I thought I would take this opportunity sent from God to buy yet another pair of boots to add to the pile in my closet.

A Man-Friendly Alternative

Okay okay, I was a little negligent about providing more unisex items for the shop in the past months and very much focused on lady colors and designs. Oops.

So gentlemen, I've just listed some great traveler bags for you!
Ladies, these are also great for you, too. ;)

I went thrifting yesterday with my brother and found this neat Steelmaster vintage filing drawer, a really vintage paddle racket, and a little handmade bench (you'll see this one as a prop in the shop soon).

You'll probably see some vintage finds in my product listings for the fall; I've been on this vintage crave for the past couple months. Maybe it's the coming of fall. All the beautiful colors remind me of a pretty sepia picture...

I was asked to put a strap on the hip pocket, so while I was at it, I made the hip pocket larger, added more pockets (for those who love to compartmentalize), and voila! The Traveler.

Photography

The main compartment will fit your 35mm camera, and the three pockets in the back fit additional film. For the more digital photographer, you can store your flash accessories and lenses in the main compartment and extra memory cards in the additional pockets!


Hands-free Day at the Park

No more worrying of the whereabouts of your bag; keep it on your hip while you run around with the kids (or the dog). Adjust the strap to fit around your waist and you're on your way. The back pockets are a great place for treats and poopy bags. ;)


Selling at the Craft Fair

Keep your earnings in the main compartment, and store some change, business cards, and your iPhone (for making those credit card transactions) in the back pockets for quick-n-easy access!

A beautiful wedding

My friends Stu and Keris got married yesterday at the beautiful Plantation House, and I tried out my new phone app to capture some beautiful moments. I like. :)

ShakeItPhoto App

I spend a lot of money on Polaroid film, so when I found ShakeItPhoto randomly as I was searching for that app that allows you to share photos by sliding it towards your fellow iphone user, I was pretty ecstatic. I still never found that other app... oh well.

At $0.99 for the app, this makes for a much better "instant camera" than my $1.50/picture Polaroid offers. Although I don't get a physical copy of the photo instantly, this makes for a much cheaper pastime.

Colors of the Wind

I made a treasury to reflect the mood of my new shop, Eightfold.

Since my sewing machine is currently broken (and it costs more than half the price of the machine to fix it), I'm in the process of purchasing a new one (actually an old one) to hold me over a few months until I can afford a really new-and-much-improved one. :)

More on that later. Until then...

y0omii pandas!!

OMG. These are the cutest little things I've ever seen. Squishy, chubby little balls of adorable!!!

I will come back for more to give as gifts. Or just keep them for myself. Don't count on receiving one of these from me, because I will most likely hoard them all to myself. But you can get one for yourself in her shop. Sherry is one of the nicest people ever! She makes these little characters with such care and all of them have a story and come with care instructions.

I can't believe these are handmade! Made with absolute perfection!

Pan-pan (the one on the right) is going to The Boy; I think he'll love it. At least he better, because it's going on his desk at work! ;)
